Infusion Center

The IV Infusion Center at Phelps.

Helps patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.

The IV Infusion Center, under the direction of Richard Parrino, MD administers biologics to patients with chronic illnesses such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and chronic juvenile arthritis, as well as chronic systemic disorders such as psoriasis, Crohn's Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis.

Biologics, such as Remicade, inhibit the pro-inflammatory cells that are responsible for the destructive inflammatory process. Administered to patients by intravenous infusion, biologics significantly improve patients’ quality of life. Research has shown that patients with rheumatoid arthritis who receive treatment for an extended period of time (longer than 9 months) are approaching total remission of their illnesses. Biologic offers hope for better quality of life by reducing pain and disability.

Outpatient infusion of other drugs such as antibiotics or Lyme Disease treatment is also available.

Physician Referral is needed. For Information, Call 914-366-3523.
