Pastoral Care
The Department of Pastoral Care offers spiritual and emotional support for patients, families and staff. Chaplains are available to visit patients in the hospital, to pray with them, listen to them, read scripture, or counsel with them. Visits can be arranged by calling the Chaplain’s office, extension 3090 (366-3090).
The Phelps Chapel is a non-denominational quiet space for prayer and meditation that is open 24 hours, every day. It is located on the first floor of the hospital in the West Wing, adjacent to the Radiology department.
The Director of Pastoral Care is also the liaison between the hospital and community clergy. Applications for clergy I.D. cards and parking stickers should be sent to the Director of Pastoral Care, the Reverend Carole Johannsen.
